Making capital markets work for the poorest of poor

Naari Capital's mission is to bring down poverty by focusing on women from the underprivileged communities. We do this by providing them with much needed risk capital, mentorship and market linkages.

-
We work with women as equal partners in the journey of wealth creation and view them as power houses (Naari Shakti)
-
We transfer the risk of business failure to our platform whereas the business success is owned by the women entrepreneurs
-
Our network of partners (Naari Shakti) who are local changemakers create the wealth at the grassroots level in enabling families to come out of generational poverty trap
We have built incentives and governance structures within our platform to drive our entrepreneurs for excellence and growth. The wealth accrued is further shared with the local grassroots women, as a result.

Our Story
Like any other modern story, the story of Naari Capital begins with a lengthy argument on a common Whatsapp group between Deepti and Karthik. Deepti with her deep expertise in the impact space contended that the fruits of economic growth have not adequately reached the poor sections of the society. On the other hand Karthik with his experience in the Private Equity investments space came with data and statistics to show the correlation between reduced poverty levels and private investments in India. The outcome for further arguments, telephonic discussions and personal meetings led to the birth of Naari Capital, a platform that utilizes the power of capital markets to impact the lives of the poorest of poor.
