Zahida Amin
Founder and CEO
Zahida runs a small business in Kashmir selling scarfs and shawls of premium quality. Her business came about as a result of a conflict in the valley, when many women wanted to earn a small living. She mobilised those women to form a group and began searching for the markets in Delhi. Today she works with 100 women who make a decent living from home.
Zahida is aspring to scale her business by adding another 100 women right away and diversifying her portfolio.
Durga Yadav
Founder & CEO
Durga sells silver jewellery and handmade apparels. Being married at the age of 17, she didn't have a choice but to support her family, as her husband didn't have much income. She decided to break the gender norms and step out of the house. She faced a lot of resistance but she didn't give up.
After two decades of ups and down, she runs today her nano enterprise with 50 rural tribal women in South Rajasthan. All her three duaghters are in school and her husband too is very proud of her.
Durga now is aspiring to expand her business and wants to recruit another 100 women.
